Infineon will supply power modules for Rivian's R2 platform for electric vehicle traction inverters

Since 2017, the sales of this series of products have exceeded 10.5 million units, making significant contributions to the electrification transformation. With the advancement of the Julin wafer fab expansion project, Infineon is building the world's most competitive 200mm silicon carbide (SiC) power semiconductor wafer fab and further consolidating its leading position as a high-quality, large-scale supplier in the automotive industry. By sharing technology and processes, Infineon's Julin and Filach production bases have actually formed a highly focused "virtual collaborative factory" for wide bandgap (WBG) technology innovation.
